The NEXT Medical Device Innovation Center will continue to be a leader in medical device development and value the human networks that it has built over time. We believe our continuous challenge will enhance patients’ well-being.

June, 2012 The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare organization Promote the development of practical products, such as innovative pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and regenerative medicines.
“The business establishing safety evaluation methods and efficacy of metabolic imaging endoscope” started. (Kazuhiro Kaneko)
September, 2013 The first meeting of the Ito Team regarding the 2013 R&D expenses of the National Cancer Research Center
“Establishment of an organizational system for the early surgical clinical development of innovative operation devices and operation skill” (Masaaki Ito)
October, 2015 A-Traction Co. Ltd. (Director: Masaaki Ito) was certified as part of the National Cancer Research Center venture.
April, 2016 2016 R&D expense of the National Cancer Research Center
“Establishment of an organizational system for early surgical development testing of innovative devices for surgical operation and operation skill” started. (Masaaki Ito)
May 8, 2017 Establishment of the Center of New Surgical and Endoscopic Development for Exploratory Technology (NEXT)
The Medical Device Innovation Center was established at NEXT mentioned above.
July, 2017 2017 R&D expense of the National Cancer Research Center “Study on the establishment of an organizational system for clinical tests to develop endoscopic devices” (Tomonori Yano)
November, 2017 AMED, Development of Medical Devices and Systems for Advanced Medical Services. “Cross-sectional infrastructure development contributing to database construction of endoscopic surgery” started. (Masaaki Ito)
April 1, 2019 Dismantled the Device Development Coordinator Room. Transferred the function of the Device Development Coordinator Room to the Device Development Department of the Clinical Research Support Division at our hospital.
April, 2019 2019 R&D expense of the National Cancer Research Center “The study on developing medical devices in coordination with innovative technology” started. (Masaaki Ito)
April, 2019 2019 R&D expense of the National Cancer Research Center “Basic study for promoting cooperation among the academic, medical, and industrial sectors” started. (Hiroaki Ikematsu)
