GreetingThe NEXT Medical Device Innovation Center of the National Cancer Center Hospital East has been chosen as the 2019 “Support Program on Collaborative Innovation Networks for Medical Device” by the Japanese Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED). (Mission Title: Program on the site development for the creation of innovative medical devices in total cancer care.) As its main goal, the business aspires to develop human resources for advanced cancer treatment bases, support acquisition of proof of concept (PoC) technologies, and offer advice on existing strategies for pharmaceutical providers and businesses. The business will aim to advance medical care by supporting R&D at all stages and by leveraging its advantages, including Japan’s top-level cancer treatment sites and its well-equipped facilities such as simulated operation rooms and animal experimentation facilities.
